WebSphere Enterprise Technical Architect
Job Description
To lead the engineering of complete enterprise solutions and be responsible to customers, project managers and teams for the technical delivery of the solutions. To develop and recommend the technical architecture for all applications, systems and networks, system management and estimation of the technical work. To work directly with project management and customers in the technical negotiation of solutions. On larger projects working and leading application, security, physical and data architects to create a solution. On smaller projects performing some or all these roles to deliver the solution.
Requirements

Over 10 years of experience.

Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and presentation skills.

Demonstrated ability to work at all levels of architecture, development, testing and transition to production to produce well architected, designed, constructed and performing systems.

Experience in structured methodologies for the design, development and implementation of applications. Extensive knowledge of systems analysis and design in large systems environments.
-
Product expertise includes WebSphere line including 2 or more of WBM, WIB, WMB, WMQ, WAS 5/6V, WebSphere Portal and WebSphere Process Server.

Product expertise in Rational product line including RSA.
-
Knowledge of performance tools by IBM, Quest and Wiley Technologies.

Proficient understanding of all of or most of: Logical Architecture - UML, OO, RUP, J2EE, SOA, BPEL and vendor products.

Security architecture - confidentiality and integrity mechanisms.

Data architecture - physical and logical database architecture inclduing RDBMS and Data Models - Oracle and DB2 understanding is critical - Sybase and SQL Server desireable.

Physical architecture - Systems and networks, firewalls, reverse proxies, authentication services, LANS/WANS.

Systems - z/OS, zLinux, IBM System zSeries, Win2000, UNIX, LINUX.
Qualifications

Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Science (Masters degree with thesis preferred), MBA desireable.

IBM Certifications in WebSphere family line of products.

Project Management Certification desireable - PMP.

CISSP certified desireable.

WebSphere Application Architect
Job Description
To lead the engineering of software solutions for enterprise deployment for the financial industry using object technology and java architecture. You are an expert in engineering software solutions using OOA/OOD, UML and RUP. The lead will understand the complete development process from analysis, design, construction, unit testing, integration testing, system testing and delivery to production.
